    but you can atleast understand (i hope) why the feds jumped all over this.
    it's a form of money laundering.

    It didn't even seem like any fair "deal" at all. It was an
    ultimatum. But.. the samourai guys were pretty stupid
    "promoting" their system. They should have just put it out
    there in the public domain and manage development with greater
    anonymity and not draw attention to themselves.

    Dunno how the "free" project earned any money that the
    proseutors claimed.

    And.. it was rather unfortunate that the samourai guys only had court-appointed attorneys. Court-appointed wouldn't be too
    vested in defence.
